Weekend trip San Francisco III

The last day of this weekend trip, we visit San Francisco downtown again.

We went to eat Dim Sum at City View Restaurant (景成). Dishes are served with carts, so we didn't need to wait for order and cooking. That's good system. Of course, Dim Sum satisfied me.

We mostly spent our time at Fisherman's Wolf area.

We found an old game center. All machine was quite old but still was working.

I had no idea there was warship by the Fishermans Wharf.

I also visited west side of Fishermans Wharf where there are many shops and restaurant.

It was first time I visit San Francisco Maritime. It was so big park.

A purpose we stopped by this place was that we found The Ghirardelli Chocolate, a famous chocolate company.

However, because we couldn't find how to enter the cafe, we changed the place to take a rest to another cafe, Crown & Crumpet. It was so princess-like cafe. Everything at the cafe was sweet.

During going back way, we found a ship-shaped car. It might go into the sea.

The time going back home was supposed to take two hours but it actually took just one and 45 minutes. Event thought driving time was shorter, my brain was overheat. Overall, it was very fantastic weekend trip.

Weekend trip San Francisco II

I got up a bit late on Saturday. I ate an omelet for breakfast.

I planed to going "the IT tour" by ourselves, so we went to Stanford University as sightseeing.

There was a tower that has five stories library and an observatory. Because I love high places, of course, I went to the observatory. It was fine day, so landscape was clear and really nice.

The campus was too big to walk around in a couple of hours. And little wonder, this place was originally just a farm owned by a rich guy named Stanford. He decided to establish a college in his farm long time ago. The area of the college in his farm gradually expanded, and then it eventually became the current campus size.

The food court was huge.

By the way, there was some events, so there are more people than I had thought.

I bought some Stanford goods as souvenir.

After visiting Stanford Univ, we went to Palo Alto. The sushi restaurant we stopped by for lunch has many interesting menu such as Facebook roll, Yahoo roll, LinkedIn roll, Intel roll, and Symantec roll. But, it very makes sense because it is a IT town. Then finally we could see the office of Google and Facebook located at the bay area of the city.

For dinner, we came back Palo Alto. It was nice that there are many public parkings in the city. Most of them are "three hours free," so visitors don't need to care about extra costs. Where we went to was Baklava Restaurant, a Turkish restaurant. We tried interesting Turkish foods and a roost chicken.

After dinner, we found a Italian gelato shop, Gelato Classico, near the Turkish restaurant. Because the gelato shop was so popular, we had to wait for a while in line.

The taste of the gelato was way too good! Maybe I gained weight a little.
