The first day of 2013

My family and I woke up early in the morning in order to go to a shrine for praying this year as another new year tradition.
It was snow, so the shrine we went was covered by snow.

We ate “Osechi ryori” for blunch. Osechi ryori is special meals for the new years days, which normally last three days from Jan 1st to 3rd. Again, I ate too much.

I made “Nenga jou,” greeting letters for new year, for my father because he was too busy to make them by himself before new year’s eve.
Even though we ate osechi ryori again for dinner, we went to a local ramen restaurant after. I ate too much this day as well as regular new years days.
